Contains photographs taken during the construction of UAlbany's Uptown Campus. The images were taken by photographer E.M. Weil, under contract with either SUNY Albany or the SUNY Construction Fund.

Biographical / historical:
The new SUNY Albany campus was contructed on the west side of the City of Albany on the site of the former Albany Country Club. Designed by architect Edward Durell Stone, the campus is a preeminent example of postmodernist architecture. The academic podium at the center is one of the largest poured-in-place concrete structures in the world.
