Progress Report No. 156
At a Job Meeting on the Indian Quadrangle this morning, It was raported that
a considerable number of bullding trades had struck, Including the glazlers, tinsemiths,
painters and masons, with others possibly fo Join In the next few days, These events
have thrown thé previous forecast dates of completion for A and B, C and D, and & and F
to the winds and, of course, until f+ Ts known how long the trade untons will be out, It Is
futile to attempt any projections about when these regions might be completed,
Bad though the pleture Is, It Is a fact that bulldings A and B, and to a certain
extent, C and D are quite far along, and If the trades get back and get gotng again, tt
should not take more than two weeks to finish A and B, In my optnton, and maybe three or
four weeks to finish C and 0. So that, we cannot positively say. the bulldings can't be
ready In time for occupancy this Fall, and we may narrowly avert thts catastrophe In
the end, Furniture Is tn readiness, as Is carpet and drapertes, go that we are prepared
to move at a moment's notice to ready these four halls, If we get any break at all.
