This series consists of unpublished documents generated in connection with the 1936 gubernatorial campaign of William F. Bleakley, chairman of the New York State Republican Party and former New York State Supreme Court Justice. Included are charts detailing the statewide results of the elections of 1932 and 1936, draft texts of campaign fliers and press releases concerning the fiscal policies of Governor Herbert Lehman, and the text of a speech asserting that New York State residents paid a disproportionately large share of federal taxes.

This series contains subject files that relate to Taylor's time on the Wayne County Republican Committee, as well as her relationship with the Republican Party. This series contains Wayne County Republican Committee meeting minutes, as well as financial records related to Wayne County and New York State. This series also contains campaign announcements and memorabilia from political campaigns, including the campaign of President Eisenhower. This series also consists of maps of the Erie Canal, Wayne County, and the New York State Thruway. More information about the creation of the New York State Thruway can also be found in this series. This series also includes 24 blue prints from 1949 that outline the State of New York's Department of Public Works plans for constructing the elimination of the West Shore Railroad Company and the New York Central Railroad Company Grade Crossing in Wayne County.

In the summer of 1983 William Kennedy accepted director Francis Ford Coppola's invitation to collaborate with him on a film script for The Cotton Club, a 1930s period drama built around the real Harlem night club in New York. He spent the remainder of that summer and the fall writing and editing, as the movie transitioned from the pre-production phase to principal photography. The film debuted in the United States in 1984. This series documents that intensive writing and re-writing effort with many working scripts, rehearsal scripts, shooting scripts, and editing scripts. In addition, there are production memos and notes, call sheets, publicity materials, reviews, correspondence, and a file about the movie premiere.

Contains the Coalition's Good-Time survey given to prison staff and inmates, computer print outs of survey coding, and miscellaneous notes of Peter Pollack concerning the survey. The Good-Time survey established prison staff and inmate attitudes toward the granting of early release or parole to inmates for good behavior. 642 completed surveys are also in the series but are being considered for destruction.

This series contains materials that Lowe created and maintained in connection with his teaching activities at the University of Kiel, the University of Frankfurt, Manchester University, and the New School for Social Research. Lecture notes generated while Lowe was at Manchester (among them a few lectures for the Worker's Educational Association) and the New School predominate. Also included are an outline for a political theory course he taught at the University of Kiel (1930), the syllabus (1951) for his "Theory of Capitalism" course at the New School, and reading notes he used in preparing various lectures.

This series includes all large cartographic and pictorial records. Included are some for the Broadway Mall project, Rotterdam Square project, and maps of the city of Schenectady and the town of Rotterdam. There are over forty maps that are included in this series that have not yet been flattened or processed and as a result, the size of this series is not accurate at the present time.
