D/ART (Depression Awareness, Recognition and Treatment) was a program of the National Institute of Mental Health in which MHANYS participated in the 1990s. The program involved mainly distributing literature and other information aimed at increasing public awareness of the problem of depression. For example, MHANYS prepared a translation of an already existing booklet on depression into Russian and distributed it to Russian-speaking people in New York State. This series mainly consists of literature prepared by the National Institute of Mental Health on Depression, and correspondence regarding the "Community Partners" national conferences of D/ART participants.
