Included is correspondence between the Coalition and prisoners. Prisoner correspondence concerns membership information, coalition updates, access to legal bills, references to other organizations, and asking of employment agencies able to help them after their time is served. The series also contains official prison descriptions of the facilities and its activities. Access to this series is restricted.

This series contains information related to state reinvestment plans, Medicaid concerns, managed care, and housing. While materials on all of these topics also can be found in Series 5, 6, and 7, the documents in this series were all kept specifically by the director of legislative and government affairs and therefore remain together in their own series.

Vera Michelson collected and maintained subject files relating to various groups and people relating to her criminal justice reform efforts and community activism. This series includes records Michelson collected about different figures in the Albany area, including friends she made through her activism. The series also has records used by Michelson for research into some of her social activism organizations. This series is comprised of mostly newspaper articles and organizational ephemera like pamphlets and business cards.

Files on miscellaneous environmental issues and non-environmental topics, including (but certainly not limited to) anti-nuclear activity, Hudson River conservation, and outdoor recreation. There are files on several specific environmental organizations such as Environmental Clearinghouse of Schenectady and the Hudson River Waterway Association. Also included are three folders of plates with historical images of Albany streets. These images came from an unidentified publication, and their relationship to other items in the collection is uncertain. Finally, there are U.S. Geological Survey maps (saved from the woodshed of the ferry sloop Woody Guthrie) which are housed with the oversized materials. (Series 8.).

Tanya Melich was director of the Election Research Unit for ABC News during the 1964 Republican National Convention. As a result, she accumulated numerous papers regarding the presidential primaries in New Hampshire and California, as well as the Republican National Convention and inaugural celebration. The series includes voting reports and analysis, general information on the convention, schedules, biographical information of candidates and platforms, committee meeting notes, and news clippings. The series begins with the New Hampshire primary in March, continues with the California and later primaries, the Republican National Convention in July, and ends with the inauguration of 1965.

Artistic Works, 1916-1984 10.94 cubic ft.

This series includes original works created by Kurt and Greta Hartwig Manschinger, as well as Greta's sister Mela Hartwig Spira and their father Theodore Hartwig. Among the works are short stories, novels, playlets, librettos, operas, choral arrangements, scholarly articles, paintings, drawings, and recorded musical performances. Included with the works themselves are programs and reviews for various performances that the Manschingers were associated with. Materials related to Greta's teaching are also present, including correspondence, programs, and reviews from former students and institutions that she taught at.

This series contains documents related to Nattell's personal, educational and occupational life. It contains a small number of poems by Nattell, photographs, correspondence, articles authored by Nattell, scholarly articles used during his education and newspaper clippings that are by, about, or mention him. Notable topics in this series include his research on the multiply-disabled and community support systems (CSS). Also included are Income Maintenance Training Evaluation forms and documents from the University at Albany's School of Social Welfare prepared by Nattell.
