This series contains drafts of speeches and lectures presented by Rienow at various public functions as well as notes taken on the topic of the speech and occasionally clippings regarding the speech. There is also occasional correspondence between Rienow and the person or group for whom he is presenting. The majority of these speeches relate to Rienow's environmental interests. Topics include pollution, land use and nuclear fallout. A few speeches are on topics in political science and teaching, such as those presented to the Symposium on Citizenship Education.

This series contains daily appointment books which document Senator Stafford's activities. Each annual hardbound book contains detailed entries on Senator Stafford's day-to-day engagements. There are also files containing loose appointment books pages, some dated and others not. A majority of loose pages can be found in a separate folder according to the year they are from. The volumes are organized chronologically.

The legislative series includes bill jackets, legislative memorandums, State Assembly and Senate vote records, correspondence regarding the legislation. The Tenants & Neighbors' legislative committee's related materials such as agendas, minutes, memoranda are represented in this series. Mitchell-Lama council legislation can be found in the legislative series.

This series consists primarily of newspaper clippings, which have been separated into three distinct time periods: 1) 1930-1938; 2) 1938-1945 (the war years); and 3) 1945-1993. Within each time period, the clippings are separated into German-language and English-language articles and arranged alphabetically. Whenever a piece appeared under a pseudonym or name other than the Peter Fabrizius pen name, the alternate name is included in the listing.

This series contains constitutions, budgets, announcements and newsletters, Moving-up Day programs, and government reorganization papers. In some cases there is extensive information on proposals such as the ACT's and the Ebenezer Howard Project, 1970-71, an attempt to involve students in the problems of urban poverty. The subjects range from local to state wide concerns including other SUNY schools.
