This series contains documents related to the activities of the Alpha Alpha chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, beginning with its installation in 1974. It includes contracts and correspondence related to planning initiation dinners; programs and photographs from initiation dinners; and lists, correspondence, information cards and certificates relating to the selection of students for membership in Phi Beta Kappa.

This series contains extensive correspondence - in English, German, and French - Ehrmann maintained with his colleagues, friends, publishers, other scholars, and various institutions after his arrival in the United States. Letters from former German prisoners-of-war taught by Ehrmann during the reeducation program at Forts Kearney, Getty and Wetherill, R.I., and Fort Eustis, VA. form another significant part of the correspondence series.

This series includes minutes (with gaps), financial reports, and membership reports. The board members who have a vote are state officers, district directors, standing committee chairs, and the editor of the magazine. The state board meeting is a biannual regular meeting of BPWNYS held in September and January.

This series consists of convention programs and souvenir journals (1944, 1955-1956, 1958, 1961, 1965-1966, 1968-1969, 1974, 1977-1978, 1984, 1986-1988, 1990-1991), fliers encouraging clubwomen to attend conventions, drafts of resolutions to be forwarded at conventions, and ephemera. Some of the programs detail meeting agendas and the results of officer elections; most of the souvenir journals consist largely of advertisements taken out by the group's members and supporters. The resolutions, which often concern broad public-policy initiatives, are of particular interest (1975).

This series includes the slide carousels for Connections and The Crystal and the Rose as well as their accompanying speeches on index cards; the filmstrip for The Crystal Cavern and loose slides for Hans Christian Andersen. There are also filmstrips for Shadow, Cinderella, Puss in Boots, Stone Soup, and Three Billy Goats Gruff. Text booklets from Weston Woods are included as well as miscellaneous audio cassettes of interviews, Shadow acceptance speech and text for the "Hans Christian Andersen" filmstrip not produced.

This series consists of records relating to Vera Michelson's involvement in the Capital District Coalition against Apartheid and Racism (CD-CAAR). The CD-CAAR series includes documents from various court cases involving Michelson, and other members of the CD-CAAR organization. The series also contains organizational pamphlets, correspondence, and newspaper articles related to the Springboks rugby controversy. There is a file on Malcomlm X's daughter Qubilah Shabazz's 1995 arrest for conspiring to kill Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan containing information on the case, the FBI informant, and the informant's possible connections to Michelson and the Springbok protests 14 years earlier. In addition, the series includes organizational minutes, other correspondence, banners, and posters relating to its cultural boycott of apartheid. This series contains audio and video records as well as the paper records mentioned above.
