This series contains materials related to labor organizing in Latin America, South America, and the Caribbean, with a strong collection of correspondence, clippings, government documents, and organizing materials about El Salvador. The series also contains materials on South Africa, the Philippines, and the Far East. The folder on Free Trade contains records on local organizing efforts and anti-NAFTA, anti-GATT, and anti-WTO materials. Pfeiffer was engaged with international labor organizing through unions and activist organizations in the Albany area. The Chilean folder is almost entirely in Spanish. A United Ireland newsletter from the Irish Republican Clubs in Albany, New York is found in Folder 11.

This series has annual book sale promotions, brochures, outing fliers, outing photos, and left over exhibit pieces on the Friends of the Libraries. This series also has information on monthly talks that the Friends sponsored. These are called Community Conversations or Wednesday Wanderings. Speakers of these talks included prominent professors and members of the community.

The correspondence files contain approximately 7800 letters in original or photocopy, arranged alphabetically within four sub-series: 1) General correspondence A-Z, 1940-1984; 2) Correspondence in response to Paetel's article in Die Zeit, 1947-1948; 3) Correspondence with publishers and re: publications, 1941-1983; and 4) Correspondence with organizations, institutions, 1941-1981.

This series includes several years' worth of formal posed portraits and composites of the whole sorority, as well as candids contributed from individuals. There are several complete scrapbooks, both the "official" scrapbooks kept by the sorority historians each year and personal scrapbooks from sorority members. This series also includes several folders containing loose materials initially housed within scrapbooks, such as photographs, programs, invitations and other keepsakes.

This series contains materials relating directly to the activities and programs of the Center for Community Studies. Topics of interest include action research projects, extensive course materials, the Three Wishes Project, the development of educational television, the New York State Citizens' Council, the Poliomyelitis Project of 1956, in-school testing materials, student and faculty questionnaires and study notes, materials on different areas in which CCS was of service to the wider community, student papers and projects, the Study of Opinions on Medicine and Child Health of 1956, the University-Community Cooperation Project, and materials on workshops given by CCS. This series is restricted due to the inclusion of student material. Consult a member of the Department of Special Collections and Archives' staff for further details.

The Photograph series contains photographs documenting several facets of Eunice Whittlesey's political career. It includes a commemorative photo album of photographs taken during her trip to Taiwan in 1986, and photographs of the New York Republican State Committee, New York Presidential Electors, Housewives for Rockefeller and the Volunteer's Tie-Line coordinators. There are also copies of original pictures of Nelson Rockefeller that were signed by the Governor to Eunice.
