This series contains reviews of eleven of Pachter's full-length works, including his early work written and published in French on the Spanish Civil War, Espagne Creuset Politique (1938), works in German and in English published after his emigration to the United States, as well as two volumes published posthumously, an autobiography Weimar Études (1982) and an essay volume Socialism in History (1984).

Published roster's of members for individual years, but includes the roster of charter members which is a list of signatures of charter members.

This subseries consists of photocopies of newspaper and magazine clippings, legal documents, union publications, and other materials pertaining to issues and campaigns in which the SCCD was interested in and/or involved with. Some files document the SCCD's opposition to apartheid, human-rights abuses, and corporate farming. Others detail its support for labor disputes involving a host of unions including: Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union, Amalgamated Transit Union, American Federation of Grain Millers, Aluminum, Brick, and Glass Workers International Union, Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees, Civil Service Employee Association, Communications Workers of America, International Association of Bridge, Structural, and Ornamental Ironworkers, International Association of Machinists, International Federation of Flight Attendants, International Leather Goods, Plastic, and Novelty Workers Union, International Longshoremen's Association, Laundry and Dry Cleaners International Union, National Association of Broadcast Engineers and Technicians, Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers Unions, Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization, Service Employees International Union, United Auto Workers, United Farm Workers, United Food and Commercial Workers, United Mine Workers of America, United Paperworkers International Union, and United Steelworkers of America. Of particular note are copies of personal correspondence between actor and labor activist Ed Asner and SCCD chairman John Funicello.

This series contains manuscripts, typescripts and notes for published articles and lectures, as well as some longer studies prepared by Pribram during his years at the U.S. Social Security Board and the U.S. Tariff Commission.

This series is a subject file of materials related to the activities and interests of the OSP. Particularly well represented are some of the conflicts over proposed development, such as the building of a truck bypass and the High Rock golf course in Saratoga Spa State Park. Also included are materials from The Next Steps & Beyond forum and the mini-mall committee, which dealt with ways to develop the downtown Saratoga Springs area. Other issues include the move of the Saratoga Farmer's Market to High Rock Spring Park, the construction of the Saratoga National Golf Club and the Vote Yes! organization, a side project advocating the passage of a 2002 bond referendum to pay for the 2001 Environmental Parks and Open Area Protection Program. Extensive news clipping files are filed separately at the end of the series.

This series contains correspondence, minutes and reports relating to the activities and interests of CD-CAAR and consists mostly of copies of letters sent by CD-CAAR to others. Topics of correspondence include fund-raising, the cultural boycott of entertainers who had performed in South Africa and had not vowed to stay out until apartheid ended, the campaign beginning in 1983 to divest New York State pension funds from businesses operating in South Africa, letters to pastors requesting support, requests for participants in demonstrations, announcements of meetings, arrangements for conferences, requests to institutions not to sponsor pro-South African speakers, letters to legislators supporting or opposing proposed legislation especially relating to divestiture, and letters regarding testimony given by Vera Michelson in front of the United Nations. Although Michelson testified twice before the United Nations, the collection contains only a copy of her November 5, 1984 appearance in which she spoke about the frustrations and concerns of CD-CAAR and other anti-apartheid groups and expressed gratitude to the United Nations for assisting the groups in their work. Includes letters sent to political figures both in the United States and abroad such as Albany Mayor Thomas Whalen III regarding Albany's place in the fight against apartheid, Schenectady Mayor Karen Johnson, NYS Assemblywoman Cynthia Jenkins (with reply) regarding divestiture, President P.W. Botha, Lindwe Mabuza, African National Congress chief representative to the United States, Namibian Minister Helmut Angula, and Ambassador Hipolito Patricio from Mozambique supporting the ANC and the frontline states. Also included are letters to pastors such as Reverend Robert W. Dixon; academics such as President Hines of Siena College, President John S. Morris of Union College, Professor Warren Roberts of the University at Albany, and Martin circa Barell, Chancellor of the New York State Board of Regents protesting pro-South African speakers, writing letters of recommendation for professors, and thanking those who aided the anti-apartheid movement; and with people at other organizations with similar goals such as Solly Simelane of the African National Congress, E.J. Josey, President of the Albany NAACP, and Richard Dillard of the Public Employees Federation Black Caucus. Includes a typescript diary written by Eileen Kawola detailing a July 1992 visit to Mozambique. Arranged chronologically.

This series contains an partial run of the daily correspondence for three Deans of Undergraduate Studies who served between 1982 and 1993: Leonard Lapinski, Harry Hamilton, and Sung Bok Kim. This correspondence was kept in binders organized by year, and this arrangement has been preserved. Topics addressed include grading policies and specific grading actions, registration policies, program and course revisions, personnel issues, budget decisions, and other policy issues that affect undergraduate education.

The author's name, the title of the paper, the date of presentation, and notation of any illustrations that may accompany a paper are included for each paper. Dates were identified from the actual paper, from the listing in Programmes and Yearbooks, or from secretary's minutes. A number of papers are titled but do not identify author or date presented.

Unpublished speeches by Simon, essays on crime and criminological techniques, poems (some that were published in newspapers), the illustrations from a glossary on the slang of criminals, Criminal World Book, which appears to include some illustrations also intended for his book, "Spotting the Junkies" , and opening chapters for a third book on the lives of New York City addicts.
