This subseries consists of materials related to various conferences which Bedau attended, but does not include any works by Bedau.

This series contains correspondence (circa 4500 items) with family members, correspondence dealing with the Kotschnig family's immigration and naturalization process, employment, correspondence with colleagues, universities and organizations concerning general educational issues and educational reconstruction in post-war Germany, as well as correspondence concerning Kotschnig's publications. Noteworthy among the correspondents in this series are: Werner Bohnstedt, William G. Carr (Educational Policies Commission), Edna V. Cowell (World Federation of Education Associations), Betty Drury and Stephen Duggan (Emergency Committee in Aid of Displaced Foreign Scholars), Rudolf Heberle, Henry W. Holmes, I. L. Kandel and Paul Monroe (World Federation of Education Associations; co-editors with Kotschnig of World Education), Grayson Kefauver (Liason Committee for International Education), Edward R. Murrow, James W. Parkes, Charles E. Payne, Reinhold Schairer (U.S. Committee on Educational Reconstruction), James T. Shotwell (Carnegie Endowment for International Peace), Ann C. Stewart, Stuart M. The records in this subseries include correspondence, research material, press releases, and brochures related to Eastman Kodak. The records document efforts to reduce toxic emissions and promote a safer environment in communities near Eastman Kodak locations in Rochester, NY. CEC became formally involved with Kodak environmental issues when the former joined the Kandid Coalition in 1997. With thirteen other organizations, CEC advocated for improved environmental management and first class labor relations. This subseries includes outreach material and extensive research records for Kodak's Toxic Colors and A Tarnished Image: The Eastman Kodak Performance Scorecard. The earliest dated material is background information on Kodak's company policies and practices from 1989. Much of the information in A Tarnished Image was collected from systematic Freedom of Information Law requests. The research material includes information from: the Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), Workfare programs, Kodak Annual Reports, Kodak Environmental Report, New York State Department of Tax and Finance, and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). A Tarnished Image was a joint publication of CEC and the New York State Labor and the Environment Network. Notes and drafts for the Kodak Corporate Accountability Campaign and Kodak shareholders' environmental resolution are present as well.

This subseries contains articles and speech notes Oppler wrote after retiring. Of particular interest are his analysis of the Sunakawa Case, in which the Japanese Supreme Court ruled that Japan's constitutional ban on rearmament did not prohibit the stationing of U.S. troops on Japanese soil, and notes for a speech that he gave a week before his death.

Included in the County Executive Committee Meetings subseries are minutes, agendas, motions and resolutions, letters to members, and transcripts of meetings. County Executive Committee Meetings were held several times a year.

This sub-series consists of notes for lectures that Lowe delivered at various academic institutions and before various community groups. Some of these speeches were given before the New School's Study Group on Germany (1942-43) and its General Seminar, an interdisciplinary forum at which faculty members discussed their work.
