This collection contains the account book of a 19th century shoemaker and leather dealer near Taunton, Massachusetts.

For more than three decades, Abraham J. Bonowitz has worked to educate the public about human rights problems, in particular the death penalty and the need for alternatives to the death penalty. During this time he served in numerous director, consultant, managerial, and activist roles with leading advocacy and death penalty abolitionist organizations.

The communications series encompasses mailings, newsletters, and events that Mr. Bonowitz participated in.

This collection contains files (photocopies) of the Emergency Rescue Committee including letters, registration cards, and other materials of this New York City-based organization concerning some 170 Émigrés and their efforts to flee to the United States from Nazi persecution. Includes files about Alfred Döblin, Hans Natonek, Nelly Sachs, Fritz von Unruh, and Friderike Zweig.

This collection documents many aspects of the career of Howard Palfrey Jones, including work in the civil service in New York State, foreign service, and with local governments.

This series contains course materials from the School of Nursing. Files include course descriptions and objectives, blank tests and exams, handouts, and syllabi. Faculty and administrators created all the materials. Please note that sometimes the school retained course materials for different academic years in the same file. This collection contains documents, materials, and memorabilia spanning the life and career of former New York Attorney General Nathaniel L. Goldstein, who served the state from 1943 to 1954. Goldstein, a Republican, is largely remembered for his work to delegitimize the Ku Klux Klan and contributions to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (once part of Yeshiva University), as well as other facets of American security, philanthropy, and Jewish life in the mid-20th century. After his time in office, Goldstein continued his lifelong love of litigation by working in a private law firm.
