State Education Deparment grants approval to upgrade the Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degrees given in the Curriculum and Instruction program of the Department of Educational Theory and Practice and the Reading program to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. The change recognized the research nature of both programs.
