The Newman Study Club Founded

The Newman Study Club is founded, the first Catholic group on campus. Open to any woman interested in studying the life and writings of Cardinal Newman. Chi Sigma Theta Sorority, known as Kappa Nu Sorority from its founding on October 5, 1914 until it adopted the name Chi Sigma Theta on Feb. 17, 1920, traced its founding date to the formation of the Newman Study Club.
