Governor Pataki Formally Dedicates New Center For Environmental Sciences And Technology Management

New York Governor George Pataki formally dedicates the new Center for Environmental Sciences and Technology Management (CESTM). The new building houses the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center (ASRC) and the Center for Advanced Thin Film Technologies (CAT), incubator businesses and the National Weather Service Forecast Office. CESTM was financed by a $10 million New York State economic development grant, a $2 million federal grant, and approx. $1.4 million in private funds. Two labs in the building are occupied by CAT. In addition, two manufacturers, MKS Instruments and AWS Scientific, Inc., are housed at the facility.
