Official Announcement Of The College At Work Program

Official announcement of the College at Work Program by SED Commissioner Richard P. Mills and University President Karen Hitchcock, a two-semester pilot collaborative program to provide lunch time undergraduate classes in the SED Building taught by University faculty. SED workers will be offered a series of credit-bearing courses, the first two sequences being Written Communications and Information/Data Analysis. Only 50 students will be admitted the first year and future development of the program will await an analysis of the results. Students must maintain a B average. SED will pay 53% of the cost of tuition, UAlbany 12%, and students 35% plus the cost of books and materials.
