Master Plan Progress Announced Including Updates For Police Department And Fine Arts Studio

As part of the Master Plan progress announcement for the winter, construction of the University Police Department, a $2.6 million building of 10,000 square feet, is about 70 percent complete; the Fine Arts Studio construction contract of $4.155 million was awarded to David Christopher of Clifton Park, low bidder on the 20,000 sq. ft. project; the contractor for the conversion of the Administration Building, a $6.42 million project is MLB Industries of Latham; the contractor for the transformer and switchboard conversion project on the Uptown and Downtown Campuses, a $4.6 million project, is Mohawk Valley of Schenectady. Most of the work on the Downtown Campus was completed in fall 1999 with work continuing on the Uptown Campus.
