2000 01 Suny Budget Provides State Appropriations Of $115.7 Million To University

2000 Fall

The 2000-2001 SUNY budget provides New York State appropriations of $115.7 million to UAlbany, an approximately 5% increase over 1999-2000, and the third year of State appropriation increases. A further $1.5 million will come from the SUNY System-wide "Mission Review." For the third year in a row, more faculty will be hired than retire or leave according to University President Karen Hitchcock. The total University budget will be $236 million, a $9 million increase over 1999-2000.
