Three Grants Given To The University

2001 March

Three grants ($595,000 from U.S. Department of Education Office of Educational Research and Improvement; $205,000 from the Smith Richardson Foundation; $132,000 from the New York State Department of Education and the Rand Corporation, and continuing support from the New York State Educational Finance Research Consortium, fund the research of James Wyckoff of public administration and policy and Hamilton Lankford of economics in investigating which strategies are most effective in attracting and retaining highly qualified teachers.
