Formal Dedication Of Towers Perrin Human Resources Information Systems Classroom

Formal dedication of Business Administration room 231 as the Towers Perrin Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Classroom. Present were former Towers Perrin CEO and UAlbany graduate '70, John T. Lynch. In the fall of 2000, Towers Perrin made a $330,000 commitment to the University at Albany, including $100,000 for establishing a smart classroom in Room 231, and $230,000 to establish the Towers Perrin Research and Development Fund and the Towers Perrin Student Award. The Development Fund provides yearly awards for faculty in the HRIS and human resource management fields, while the Student Award supports "academic excellence and career potential...." in both fields.
