First University At Albany Reading Project Launched

University-wide Reading Project announced by by Provost Susan Herbst. Tracy Kidder's Mountains Beyond Mountains is the first text selected. The purpose of the Reading Project is to engage faculty, students, and staff in "reading and reflecting on a common text." The book is about "race, poverty, and the role of the United States in the world...." Small group discussions will be held in February and March with Kidder visiting the University on March.
