Announcement of $300,000 grant from U.S. Department of Education to the University Counseling Center to "reduce high-risk drinking among athletes." The project director is M. Doloris Cimini, licensed psychologist at the Counseling Center. Project Winning Steps, the funded program, coordinates with the Department of Athletics by "bridging the theory and knowledge base across alcohol screening and brief intervention, sports medicine, sports psychology, and exercise and performance science."
