Committee of five, subsequently the Dormitory Committee, appointed by Alumni Association ???? President to investigate available purchasable properties for dormitories, organize a residence hall fund drive, and present a general plan to be financed by the Eastern Branch of the Association. (Executive Committee Minutes, Nov. 5, 1921, Alumni Association Minutes, 1917-1956, pp. 66-67) Graduates Field Fund started to provide an athletic facility with a baseball diamond, a football field, tennis courts, and space for other outdoor games with a gift of $256.00 by the Class of 1916. The Class of 1917 then donated $239.00, and the Classes of 1918 and 1919 donated $300.00 in War Bonds. The fund held $2000.00 at the end of 1921.
