Center For Molecular Genetics Created By Scientists From Department Of Biology And School Of Public Health

Center for Molecular Genetics (College of Science and Mathematics) created by scientists from the Department of Biology and School of Public Health. Albany Medical College scientists also cooperate. A key aim of the center is to bring together molecular biologists from across the Capital Region. David Shub is the director of the new center. Among the research projects the center is undertaking is studying how cells repair damage to DNA. Other research is focused on the development of vaccines.
