- Also in positions at the U.S. Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, and President's Commission on Veteran's Pensions, 1950-59; and as a senior staff member of the International Labour Office (ILO), Geneva, 1959-64. He was a professor of economics at the University of Chicago, 1964-67, and at Temple University, 1967-81. His area of research is social policy, including social security, workers' compensation, and programs for employee health and safety.
