Abstract:

Story of three shipwrecked castaways who swim on 'life preservers' to a convenient desert island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. There they find a house "the likes of which could be found in any New England town". They decide to stay in the house for several weeks, and are eventually joined by several other castaways, including a rather irritable missionary.
