Susan Clauson, a Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) member from the New York State Bridge Authority, cutting up her Wal-Mart credit card with the help of former Wal-Mart executive, now union organizer, Gretchen Adams, after hearing Adams' account of Wal-Mart's war on its own workers. Adams was a guest speaker at the 2002 CSEA's Womens Conference held in Rye Brook, Westchester County, New York. More than 500 women and men participated in many energy-packed programs and workshops that empowered members personally and professionally and laid the foundation to build an even more powerful union. The CSEA is New York State's largest union.
