This slide is from a presentation entitled "This is the Clearwater," created by Nancy Papish in cooperation with the Hudson River Archive. The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. is an environmental organization that advocates for the protection of the Hudson River and its ecosystems. Each year, Clearwater, Inc. members harvested pumpkins for the annual Pumpkin Sail/Sale. The pumpkins, which came from a farmer in the Hudson area, were loaded onto the Clearwater and sailed up to Albany where they could be sold. (Color slide)
