In addition, this series includes Dr. Wittner's involvement in political campaigns including the local campaigns of Alfredo Balarin, Ed Bloch, Nancy Burton, and Leon Van Dyke and his work on Bernie Sanders' campaign for President of the United State in 2016 and 2020. Dr. Wittner was elected as a Sanders delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention from the 20th Congressional District.
