This series is organized alphabetically by subject. It contains Bennet's extensive files on various personal and professional subjects and dates primarily from the 1930s through the 1950s. This series include extensive files on the Forest-Algoma and Weyerhaeuser lumber companies, files on numerous individuals whom Bennet represented as an immigration lawyer, and material on the 1938 New York State Constitutional Convention. It also includes material related to philanthropic organizations such as the National Committee on Prisons and Prison Labor and the National Bible Society.

This series contains the minutes of the University Council and its predecessor bodies. The approved minutes of the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, and the Board of Visitors (1844-1939, 1944-45) are supplemented by correspondence, annual budgets, and annual reports. The minutes are available in the original hand and typewritten bound volumes, 1844-1939, 1945, kept by the secretary to the various committees and boards, and a typewritten transcription, 1844-1939, commissioned by President Brubacher in 1938. No minutes exist for the College Council (1954-62), though one agenda from 1960 is in the records. The minutes of the University Council (1963-89), contain several reports and budget documents, however the bulk of the correspondence, reports, and peripheral material considered by the University Council are found in the correspondence files.
This collection holds the minutes of the monthly meetings of the Executive Committee to the State Normal School. The entires in these two volumes detail some aspects of the school's budget, listed graduates of each sememster and includes a commencement program from that semester. The minutes also include basic school administration like the hiring and firing of professors, or proposed maintenence and expansion of the school's buildings. For the second volume there is a seperate book acting as an index to major people and events at the Normal School from 1880 to 1909.
