CANA is an umbrella organization of active neighborhood groups, and associate group members, involved in such issues as the city budget, mayor's salary increases, Capital Plaza security, Common Council Procedures, Ethics Committee, a proposed "Floor Thru" zoning amendment to authorize multiple dwellings in certain neighborhoods, historic preservation, home occupation, community development, regulating business signs (the Key Bank sign controversy), and other city issues.
