This series contains information about some of the projects that L-W Associates were engaged in. Though limited, series 5 includes L-W Associates' work with American Women in Small Businesses, Asia, the Disarming Images Study Circle, education, housing, the Law, Order and Justice Center, nuclear arms, environmental issues, the Radical Education Project, race, missile defense, transportation and urban studies.

This series is composed of claim vouchers (1995), an Exempt Organization Certificate (1994), interest income tax forms (1988, 1992-1994), monthly bank statements (1987-1990), and a savings certificate passbook (1988-1995). Of particular importance is the state filing receipt of Amendments to Alumnae Association Certificate of Incorporation (1994) which allowed the association to act as the official sponsor of the Beta Chapter in Stony Brook.

The Board of Finance records 2019-20 contain agendas; budget documents including the 2019-20 final budget, budget presenations, club budgets, and budgets rubrics; documents pertaining to vendor contracts, the Financial investigation into the 2019-20 Student Association president, and Senate bills drafted by the Board of Finance; Board of Finance meeting minutes and executive session minutes; and transition materials intended for the 2020-21 Student Association Executive Board. There are also three pictures of the 2019-20 Board of Finance members.

The first section of this series is arranged chronologically according to the date of the specific publication and contains extensive correspondence with co-editors Gwendolen Carter and Louise Holborn and Otto and Anne Kirchheimer, correspondence with publishers, royalty statements, as well as correspondence with contributors to essay volumes. The second section of the series is arranged alphabetically by the name of the publishing house or periodical publication.

This series contains both published and unpublished writings by Bendix. Included in this series are early writings in German (1930-1938), background materials and early versions of several book publications, including Social Mobility in Industry (1959), Embattled Reason (1970), and extensive files pertaining to Work and Authority in Industry (1956). The series also contains numerous essay and lecture texts, including many on various aspects of the writings of Max Weber, and reviews of the works of others.

It includes files on "sister city" cultural and commercial exchange programs between Albany and Ghent, Belgium and Tula, Russia, as well as an extensive file of material related to the organization Business Executives for National Security (BENS).
