This series reflects Ehrmann's lifelong teaching career at American universities and overseas. A large portion of the material originates from Political Science courses taught by Ehrmann at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, and - as a visiting professor - at the universities in Paris, Berlin, and at the University of California in Berkeley. There is also a significant collection of single lectures given in various countries over the period of four decades. Some of the lectures are written in French and German. The series also includes a folder with syllabi and examination handouts.

The publications series includes publications printed by either the Capital District Chapter of ASPA or the national association. The most important publications in this series are the agendas for the chapter's annual institutes, the chapter's annual reports, and the chapter's newsletters. A fairly large section of this series consists of handbooks the national association published as guides for the local chapters.

Founded in 1977 by Bill and Andy Spence, Old Songs, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational corporation that sponsors and hosts classes, workshops, performances, and more to promote traditional folk music and dance. Bill was a performer for Old Songs events and part of the folk group Fennig's All-Star Band on the hammered dulcimer. Andy Spence was executive director of the organization until 2018, when she became executive director emeritus, and served on the Board of Directors from the 1990s to 2017. This series consists of notebooks, flyers, correspondence, tickets, newsletters, records, magazines, posters, and more from activities and events occurring during Andy's time with the organization.

This series contains files pertaining to planning decisions in Saratoga County, New York. Some of the documents refer to plans for specific municipalities -- i.e., villages, towns, and the City of Saratoga Springs -- while others pertain to county-wide planning efforts. Among the most common file types are: comprehensive/master plans (including master plans for Saratoga Springs published in the 1960s and 1980s), zoning ordinances/maps, soil surveys, county land use and development plans, transportation plans (e.g., bikeways, park and ride, highway rest station plans), environmental impact statements, and numerous reports on county water/sewerage projects.

The New York City Partnership (NYCP) was founded in 1979. David Rockefeller was one of the founders and served as chair during the period covered by these records, Arthur R. Taylor served as president. NYCP began as a collaborative association of 100 businesses, private-sector groups, and civic leaders to assist the city develop innovative volunteer projects. Partners included the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council. The majority of materials in this series concern transit problems in New York City in 1981, a summer job program for high school students, and a lunch hosted by NYCP in 1982 with President Ronald Reagan as a guest.

Incomplete sets of newsletters of the State University Federation of Teachers (S.U.F.T. News) and the Senate Professional Association (SPA Bulletin, SPA Spokesman, and For Your Information). The earlier newsletters concentrate on issues regarding negotiations with the state, while in its last year the SPA Spokesman became a more general newsletter covering activities such as improper practice filings and committee work. For Your Information was a newsletter for SPA (and later SUNY/United) leadership and similarly covered a broad variety of subjects, including negotiations, improper practice filings, upcoming Delegate Assemblies, and the election of chapter and statewide leaders.

This series is comprised of files on organizations and subjects that were of interest to Rienow. Groups include Defenders of Wildlife, Zero Population Growth, the Nature Conservancy, and Citizens to Save the Adirondack Park. Topics include deforestation and land use, wildlife protection, overpopulation, national wealth, nuclear fallout and the problems of atomic energy, and various forms of pollution. The files contain mostly notes, news clippings, articles, mailings, and publications. There are also files related to government agencies, such as the Department of the Interior and the United States National Treasury. These files consist mainly of government publications on environmental policies and issues, as well as some publications on the structures of the agencies. A few files relate to political science topics.
