This series contains long-term runs of publications collected by Tanya Melich. The two most extensive publications are Hotline Weekly (1994-1997) and The Abortion Report (1992-1997). The Hotline Weekly collected and abbreviated news stories from television, magazine, and newspaper reports relating to politics and government. The Abortion Report was a daily listing of news stories specifically related to abortion, and would be useful for individuals looking to analyze the impact of abortion politics on the nation. The collection of The Abortion Report is not completely inclusive; some dates are missing. This series also contains The Body Politic (1993-1995), Campaign Insider (1997), The Defense Monitor (1984-2002), Ramparts (1967-1970), and The Washington Spectator (1989-2007, with gaps).

The bulk of this series served as the Women's Building's information file on issues and problems facing the area's women. This is not to be confused with the Women's Building library which is not included in this collection, although indexes of the library are present in this series. The exact original contents of the Resource File are unknown as the original arrangement of the material was lost, but the series was gathered to include material in the collection that likely served primarily an informational purpose. This includes published material from other women's organizations, articles, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, referral and counseling information, and bibliographies or lists of further resources.
