Series 1, Senatorial Papers, consists of subject files collected by Frederic Berman during his campaign for and term as a New York State Senator. The folders in this series are arranged alphabetically, according to the subjects assigned by Berman.

This series is divided into three sections: documents pertaining directly to Paul Leser, documents pertaining to other family members, and newspaper clippings primarily about Paul Leser. Included in this series are materials pertaining to the Leser family residence, located in the Plittersdorf section of Bonn, Germany, and include documentation of the estate, details of the original land purchase, wartime confiscation by the Nazis, later restitution claims, and final sale of the property in 1972.

This series contains records related to Moore's service as Executive Secretary of the State Association of Towns.

The State Council Meetings include meeting minutes, cassette recordings of some State Council meetings, memoranda, agendas, correspondence, bylaws, newsletters, and State Convention and State Executive Committee minutes. The State Council Meetings document the structure, function, and activities of the state and local chapters, issues of concern to NOW-NYS on subjects ranging from abortion to education, and provide insight into the running of this state-wide women's network.

This series is made up of index cards with former students names and addresses on them.

Series 1 consists of information tracing the study circle movement back to the 1970s. The series contains historical information about the Study Circle Consortium of New York State including meeting minutes, correspondence, pamphlets and membership information. Included are various published articles directly related to the study circle initiative both in Sweden and the US, along with files about various individual study circles including the circles on nuclear disarmament, parenting, child abuse, the environment, the Domestic Policy Association, quality circles, and others. There is also oversized material available in this series.

This series is made up of subject files the office maintained on university events that it promoted, such as research conferences, speaking engagements, building dedications and artistic performances. This series contains files as well on individuals and organizations that the office had contact with, inluding legislators and student groups. These files contain press releases, copies of advertisements placed in local publications as well as correspondence.

This series is organized alphabetically by subject. It contains Bennet's extensive files on various personal and professional subjects and dates primarily from the 1930s through the 1950s. This series include extensive files on the Forest-Algoma and Weyerhaeuser lumber companies, files on numerous individuals whom Bennet represented as an immigration lawyer, and material on the 1938 New York State Constitutional Convention. It also includes material related to philanthropic organizations such as the National Committee on Prisons and Prison Labor and the National Bible Society.

This series contains files on various subjects. These files typically contain research material and correspondence with constituents. Subjects include the proposed statewide sales tax, government intervention to save the New Haven Railroad, the debate over pornography sales on newsstands, and the establishment of Westchester Community College.
