This series includes copies of Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) commissioned studies on the impact of Crossgates on the environment, society, and wildlife. This series also contains draft environmental impact statements, documentation for water merger appeals, and copies of Zoning Board records. Included in this series are 14 folders of maps that show plans for improvements on the mall site and surrounding area. There are nine folders containing documentation of CCAC suits against Robert F. Flacke.

The Subject Files contain material related to SUNY organizations, institutions, personnel, and activities, as well as Board activities and responsibilities. The earliest item in the series is from 1969. There is some material regarding a proposed 1976 SUNY/CUNY merger. Files contain reports and correspondence related to this issue and financial concerns for both SUNY and CUNY. However the bulk of materials begin in 1977. The files include correspondence, reports, memorandum, and news clippings. There are a number of files on Chancellor Clifton Wharton Jr., the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), the Independent Commission on the Future of SUNY, and SUNY/CUNY relations.

This series includes documents related to Bill Babbitt's campaign to end the death penalty and media coverage about Manny Babbitt's case. Correspondence, speeches, documents from the organizations Murder Victims' Families for Reconciliation and Murder Victims' Families for Human Rights, pamphlets from various conferences, records of Bill's travels to advocate against capital punishment, background information and data on capital punishment, and a printed tribute to Manny Babbitt comprise this series. There also is substantials news coverage about Manny and Bill Babbitt in print, audio, and video formats.

This series contains analysis of N.Y. State legislation bills by coalition staff and decisions to support or oppose a bill. The series also contains bill monitoring in the assembly and senate 1983-1984, along with bill reporting forms. Many Assembly and Senate bills, along with bill calendars/index can also be found for 1983-1984. Paperwork on opposition to the death penalty for the years of 1979-1984 are also present, lists of Assembly and Senate leaders stating their position on the death penalty, and the 1984 State of the State Message given by Mario M. Cuomo. Insanity defense paperwork by the New York Defenders Association, INC. can be found, along with memorandums of support for several different bills concerning such topics as acts to amend the criminal procedure laws, correctional law, and the penal law etc. The series contains proposed legislation concerning Parole, Permitting Prisoners Serving Life Sentences To Marry, Pre-trial Detention, Probation, Sealing Misdemeanor Records, Victim Compensation Laws, Marijuana Reform, Prison Construction, and Programs For Released Prisoners.
This series includes miscellaneous reports and legal documentation. Box 1 contains GAO Reports, DEC and DOE publications. Box 2 contains several annual DOE Environmental Restoration and Waste Management Five-Year Plans. Box 2 also contains several books and publications prepared by organizations and authored by individuals advocating disarmament and economic conversion. The publications in Boxes 1 and 2 are listed in the order they can be found in the boxes. Box 3 contains copies of reports and surveys, some dating as far back as 1956. Some copies are of poor quality and difficult to read or determine the date. Some of the documents were obtained through FOIA requests.
