Ethnic Based Student Groups Fight For Autonomy of Programming

In an editorial against a proposal introduced by the Central Council chairperson in an earlier meeting which would authorize a 67% budget cut for ethnic based student groups on campus, the Assistant Coordinator of Fuerza Latina (Latin Power), Juan Tito Melendez, praises the Central Council for rejecting this measure, arguing that these ethnic based student groups serve a key role for the student population at the university in representing the cultural pluralism of our society.
