Contains Syllabi used for undergraduate and graduate history courses, which show an outline of the course schedule, readings, assignments, and course policies such as plagarism.

This series contains materials relating directly to the activities and programs of the Teacher Education Development Service. Topics of interest include certification program of speech, language, and hearing specialists; conferences; the Community Legal Education Project; course materials; dissertation abstracts; Mutual Involvement Review Activity; Skidmore College Proposal; Teacher Education Certification Consortium; team leader evaluation of interns; Teacher Corps Programs; and the Youth Tutoring Youth program.

Series is made up of correspondence and requests from Clara Maidenbaum's work as Assistant to the Vice President.

Contains correspondence with potential speakers, funding and annual financial reports, brochures, newspaper and journal clippings relating to three international conferences: "Helios: From Myth to Solar Energy," 16-18 March, 1978; "Apollo Agonistes: The Humanities in a Computerized World," 19-21 April, 1979; "Asclepius at Syracuse: Thomas Szasz, Libertarian Humanist," 17-19 April, 1980. Also includes correspondence and program related material for a planned local lecture series of 14 dates titled, "Thanatos: Perspectives on Death," which was to be held from the fall of 1979 through the winter of 1980. The Conference was never held.

Thsi series is made up of materials transferred by Theodore Jennings. It contains files from the Office of the Assistant to the President including correspondence with other institutions, adminstrative documents, as well as documents from various events the President attended.

This series contains the minutes of the University Council and its predecessor bodies. The approved minutes of the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, and the Board of Visitors (1844-1939, 1944-45) are supplemented by correspondence, annual budgets, and annual reports. The minutes are available in the original hand and typewritten bound volumes, 1844-1939, 1945, kept by the secretary to the various committees and boards, and a typewritten transcription, 1844-1939, commissioned by President Brubacher in 1938. No minutes exist for the College Council (1954-62), though one agenda from 1960 is in the records. The minutes of the University Council (1963-89), contain several reports and budget documents, however the bulk of the correspondence, reports, and peripheral material considered by the University Council are found in the correspondence files.

Joe Norton was an active member of professional organizations and committees within those organizations. Materials here include his communication within committees, publications produced by organizations, and subscriptions.

Most of the materials in this series are memoranda that represent communications between committee members as well as between committee members and university administration. There are also meeting minutes, reports, correspondence and class materials.
