Dr. Wittner's activism includes more pro-labor, anti-nuclear, anti-war, and social justice work both as an individual and with organizations such as the Capital District Anti-Nuclear Alliance, Capital District Labor-Religion Coalition and the World Federalist Association. In addition, this series includes Dr. Wittner's involvement in political campaigns including the local campaigns of Alfredo Balarin, Ed Bloch, Nancy Burton, and Leon Van Dyke and his work on Bernie Sanders' campaign for President of the United State in 2016 and 2020. Dr. Wittner was elected as a Sanders delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention from the 20th Congressional District.

Membership Record Book, 1907-1988 1 reels of mircrofilm

This single volume has been updated by the Albany Typographical Union for over 80 years and contains information about members from decades previous to 1907. The record book "starts with the active enrollment as given on the election list of May 15, 1907," and the names of signatories of the constitution roll book of 1860 are also included. All subsequent enrollments were included until the book was filled in 1953, but the record book was updated with information about members' deaths, etc., through 1988. Information included in this volume includes age of member, place where apprenticeship was fulfilled, dates membership began, dates and reasons membership was severed, and date and cause of death. The book includes a name index to the entries which gives the entry number for each member's name.

This series encompasses lectures, published articles, materials related to conference participation on various public policy issues. In particular it contains items related to the Presidency of Jimmy Carter namely Carter's Welfare and Civil Service Reform Programs. It also holds a copy of Miles' testimony before Congress regarding Social Security Organization (Jan.1984) and materials related to the Rockefeller Public Service Awards Program.

This series consists of records created by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies between 1977 and 1987. The two Deans who served during this period were Helen Desfosses and Harry Hamilton. Materials include travel policy documentation, planning documents from the Medical Minority Recruitment Program Committee, and a run of The Forum for Liberal Education, published by the Association of American Colleges.

This series contains reports, correspondence and news releases related to Dr. Miller's time served in the New York State (NYS) Government with the bulk of materials dating from 1955-1967 and the early 1980s. The most prominent position he held was that of director of the NYS Division of the Budget. Important papers include NYS budget reference material, reports, and correspondence, a series of articles he wrote for the Albany Times Union, papers from when he was a consultant to the NYS Department of Audit and Control and a fiscal advisor to the Minority Leader of the NYS Assembly, correspondence, position papers and voting documents of the NYS Special Task Force on Equity and Excellence in Education, and budget recommendations relating to public schools. Not all dates are inclusive.
