Congratulations to colleagues in the College of Arts and Sciences on the final New York State approval and registration of anew CGS
program in Africana Studies ! Formal approval correspondence is below, with the proposal itself attached to this email for your
reference. The program has been approved for distance education in addition to standard format. The faculty are now authorized to
promote the program and deliver it thereafter to individuals who gain formal admission as graduate students effective Fall 2024.
