This is an alphabetical letter series of the General Reference collection. The pamphlets in the series focus on topics such as narcotics, the United Nations and educational issues. Thirty pamphlets cover topics relating to the International Student Service, including annual reports and conference publications.

This series includes correspondence between NOW-NYS members, national board members of NOW, and NOW-NYS presidents. Correspondence also includes letters to and from other organizations, as well as politicians.

The collection of pamphlets is extensive and contains pamphlets on most of the subject areas in which Fried was interested. These include: Vietnam and Southeast Asia, Nuclear war and disarmament, the United Nations and treaties, Somalia, Bangladesh, Cuba, Chile, Korea, Israel, Palestine and the Middle East, the Soviet Union, Human Rights, Rights of the Child and Women's Rights.

The Publications series contains material published by the Environmental Advocates as well as material published by others, but collected by the Environmental Advocates. The series is divided into two subseries: Environmental Advocates Publications and Publications of Others. The series occupies 3.0 cubic feet; the inclusive dates are 1972-2000, with bulk dates of 1986-1992.
