This is an alphabetical letter series of the General Reference collection. The General Reference Collection was created by archivists to hold information on campus history that is not part of any organic record group. The collection contains material from a variety of outside sources, excepts from newspapers and other publications, press releases and promotional materials, and loose university records.

For more than three decades, Abraham J. Bonowitz has worked to educate the public about human rights problems, in particular the death penalty and the need for alternatives to the death penalty. During this time he served in numerous director, consultant, managerial, and activist roles with leading advocacy and death penalty abolitionist organizations.

The communications series encompasses mailings, newsletters, and events that Mr. Bonowitz participated in.

This collection contains the Preservation League of New York State's official newsletters, annual reports, materials for and from its annual awards ceremony, correspondence, various publications and manuals created by its members, grant materials, directories of members and preservation programs and organizations, and a timeline of the Preservation League's history ranging from 1975-2002.

This series documents the political activism of Michelle Crone and includes efforts that were primarily political in nature.

The Michelle Crone Papers document her experience as a feminist and lesbian activist from the early 1980s until the mid-1990s. The collection includes material from here position as National Civil Disobedience Coordinator for the 1987 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, and as a member of the Executive Committee for the 1993 March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation. Also present are records from Michelle Crone's management of a number of women's festivals from 1982 to 1996—most notably Rhythm Fest and the Cultural Festival at Gay Games IV—and records from her Capital District production company, Elword Productions. The collection also includes the records from her experience with the Seneca Women's Encampment for a Future of Peace and Justice, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and the National Lesbian Conference. Also included are her personal correspondence, records of her undergraduate studies with the theater and women's studies programs at the University at Albany, SUNY, and political literature from a number of progressive causes at the national and local levels.

This subseries contains records from the many progressive or leftist political efforts which Michelle Crone was involved with in some way. Unlike the remainder of the Activism series, Michelle Crone may not have been directly involved in organizing these efforts.

This collection contains materials from Malinda Myers' work with the NAACP, Schenectady branch, and Schenectady County Community College.

This series consists of material relating to specific activities of Citizens' Environmental Coalition (CEC). The records in each activity subseries document research, plans, and actions taken to advance an environmental issue in New York State. The subseries dates are not always inclusive. The bulk of the activities date from the late 1980s to the late 1990s, but several folders within each activity subseries contain older information that CEC activists used as background research material.

The records of Citizens' Environmental Coalition (CEC) document its research and activism, from its infancy as part of the New York Environmental Institute, through its independent chartering in 1991, and continuing into the new millennium.

This subseries contains publications, papers, reports, guides, pamphlets, and correspondence. The materials relating to Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) are primarily concerned with environmental and health issues, but also touch on ethics. The materials on sludge are concerned with environmental issues, management, science, and agriculture.

The files in this series pertain to the creation and work of the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) and to the various political groups and legislative bills which supported or opposed the creation of the Agency. The series includes publications by the APA and other groups, legislative files, correspondence, maps, memoranda, and news clippings. The bulk of the series covers the years 1967-1978 and 1990-1997, with some materials dating from 1956-2002. Legislation pertaining to the Adirondack Park Agency can also be found in Series 9 of this collection.

The Ronald B. Stafford Papers document Stafford's service as a New York State Senator representing the 45th District.

This series contains materials pertaining to the Board of Directors and the administration of the Alumni Association, including founding documents, such as the charter and constitution. The earliest Board of Directors meeting minutes are bound volumes. By the end of the 1970s the minutes are loose notes belonging to specific individuals. The minutes may also include such supplemental materials as correspondence, agendas and financial papers. The annual report was available for the Annual Meeting, which was open to all Alumni Association members. Financial records for the Alumni Association are found in this series in ledgers, financial statements and Treasurer's reports. Loose items from bound volumes have been removed and stored in separate, appropriately labeled folders.

The State University of New York at Albany Alumni Association Records document the day-to-day operations of the Alumni Association from the 1850s to the early 21st Century.

This series contains correspondence pertaining to book club business, organizational history, laws, and membership information.

The majority of the Menands Book Club Records consists of meeting and treasurer notes and program schedules. There also is correspondence, club histories and an information packet of the village of Menands, NY Anniversary.
