Financials, 1910-2009 7.17 cubic ft.

Series two contains one hundred years' worth of financial information pertaining to the WCA. A majority of the series consists of various departments and committees expenses, receipts, and annual reports. These were originally kept in envelopes according to department or committee and year. There are also Office and Treasurer Reports spanning from 1912 to 2009, providing information about the WCAs treasury and daily spending. Please note that there are no reports from the early 1930s, 1940s or late 1950s. Financial statements provide an inside look into the WCAs evolutionary financial health.

This series contains the annual reports of different departments and committees. The reports give news about each department or committee from the year, and their respective future plans. Most reports are typed, but some of the original handwritten reports sent to the Board secretary are included as well. In addition, there are meeting minutes from select committees.

This series consists of materials detailing the events and the educational programs held by the organization. Materials included are bound programs, handbills, leaflets, pamphlets, photographs, and manuals. Various folders hold documents related to the series during a single year or a span of years, while other folders hold specific events or programs held during consecutive years. Some events or programs were held in succession for many years by the organization, such as the Woman of the Year Award, Young Careerist Award, the Annual Fashion Show, the Legislative Platform Program, and the Issues Management Program. A unique fundraising program entitled "Save the Satchel" during 1999-2000 raised money to support the conservation of Susan B. Anthony's alligator satchel. The Business and Professional Women's Club of Schenectady also collaborated with other clubs to hold events such as the 2001 Business and Professional Women's Club of Schenectady and Kiwanis Art Show. Annual conferences and anniversary celebrations are also included in the series.

Society of Bibliophiles Records, 1966-2002

From its formation in 1966 in Albany, New York, the Society of Bibliophiles aimed to encourage and foster a love of books along with an appreciation for the art of bookmaking. The Society of Bibliophiles arranged trips to various lectures and exhibits both within and outside of the Albany area, and arranged meetings and events at which books were the central focus. The collection consists of records produced between 1966 and 2002, and includes newsletters and announcements, organizational documents, materials from various sites visited and events, information about booksellers and bookbinders, as well as a number of other general administrative documents.

Some of the issues included are bottle bill legislation (1978-84), civil service reform (1977-80), PAC regulation (1980-86), campaign financing (1977-83), legislative reform (1977-83), and milk deregulation (1981-83). Also included are reports and studies generated to support specific issues.

The series consists mainly of correspondence and meeting minutes of the New York Temporary State Lobbying Commission regarding lobbying regulations and documentation on two court cases involving the commission, the most prominent being "Hobday, et al., v. the New York Temporary State Commission on Regulation of Lobbying." As an early advocate of the creation of the Lobbying Commission, NYSCC was represented on the commission by its director. The series also contains an analysis of New York State government agency logs, NYSCC lobbying registration forms, lobbying reports and studies on the amount of money spent on lobbying by business interests. This series contains records relating to the administration and activities of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Meeting minutes, membership and initiation lists, constitutions and by-laws, and other materials document the sorority's functioning from shortly after its founding, in 1899, to 1978. There are no minutes for 1903-1923, 1933-1934, 1941-1950, or 1975-1980. This series also includes sorority traditions, publicity materials, and some materials relating to alumnae.

This series includes several years' worth of formal posed portraits and composites of the whole sorority, as well as candids contributed from individuals. There are several complete scrapbooks, both the "official" scrapbooks kept by the sorority historians each year and personal scrapbooks from sorority members. This series also includes several folders containing loose materials initially housed within scrapbooks, such as photographs, programs, invitations and other keepsakes.
