This subseries contains correspondence with Thomas Blakemore, Kurt Steiner, Justin Williams, and other people Oppler worked with while in Japan. Other letters concern various interviews with scholars and journalists and various political causes that Oppler supported. Of note is a letter from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman L. Leminitzer (September 22, 1960). Oppler segregated almost all correspondence generated while working with the SCAP and the FEC and while writing Legal Reform in Occupied Japan and entries for The Encyclopedia of Japan and kept it with other papers pertaining to these activities. This arrangement has been preserved.

This subseries contains inscribed copies of published and unpublished articles written by Kurt Nadelmann, Ulrich Mache, and Josef Derbolav, all of whom apparently met Oppler before 1939, Marius Jansen, Kurt Steiner, and Justin Williams, all of whom worked with Oppler in Japan, and Nitsuke Ando, whom Oppler evidently met while; residing in Japan.

This subseries contains typescript and published articles, essays, and lecture notes. Of note are correspondence with social scientist Ernst Fraenkel, a ca. 1941 autobiographical essay entitled "Mein Leben in Deutschland vor und nach dem 30. December 1933", typescript and published versions of "Ethics in Public Administration and Individual Ethics", and "Prussian Bureaucracy and National Socialism", a lengthy and unpublished analysis of the Prussian civil service in Imperial, Weimar, and Nazi Germany.

This series contains early publications by Brecht during his years in the Reich Ministries and the Reich Chancellry, as well as manuscript material to his later publications. The bulk of this sub-series is comprised of materials dealing with his major publication, Political Theory: The Foundations of Twentieth Century Political Thought, first published in 1959 in English, reprinted editions, and the translation into German. This includes text materials, reviews and correspondence between Brecht and his publishers.

This series contains Brecht's contributions to newspapers and periodicals, as well as individual chapters in books. Included in this series are early writings in German, including several literary pieces. Although many of the typescripts are present only in photocopies, original newspaper and magazine clippings or reprints of the majority of published pieces are present in this series.

This sub-series contains transcripts of Round Table meetings of the Washington Center of Foreign Policy Research from September 1957 until September 1958. Participants include Arnold Wolfers, Roger Hilsman, James E. King Jr., Paul H. Nitze, William Lee Miller, Hans Speier, Erich Hula, Herbert S. Dinerstein, Charles Burton Marshall, William Welch, Klaus Mehnert, Hans Morgenthau and Robert C. Good. Also included in this section are typescripts of lectures delivered by Hula, Wolfers, and Miller and a limited amount of correspondence between Hula, Wolfers and Miller.

This sub-series contains publications and typescripts of articles in German on issues in labor, law, parliamentary reform and economics, written by Hula before his emigration to the United States.

This sub-series contains articles primarily in English from Hula's years in the United States. The series also contains reviews written by Hula, in German and in English, 1924-1984.

This sub-series of the Continuing Education series contains curricula for the workshops starting in March of 1973 until June of 1979. Files include agendas, correspondence, workshop participant lists, suggested readings, worksheets and other teaching materials, and participant feedback. Topics ranged from nursing and law to drug therapy to elder care.

This sub-series of the Continuing Education series consists of the registration materials of workshop participants. As the files contain sensitive personal information, the entire sub-series is restricted. The School of Nursing kept all registration material alphabetically, regardless of the date of the respective workshop. One file at the end of the series includes an alphabetical list of all participants from all workshops from 1973-1979.
