The Writings subseries includes drafts, news clippings, correspondence, and other supporting material available for the non-book writings of Persico. Persico has published many articles on historical topics in publications such as American Heritage as well as book reviews and opinion ("op-ed") pieces for newspapers. A few folders of research material are also included in this series. Also included in this subseries is research material assembled for writing projects that did not result in a publication of a book and an unpublished manuscript for a novel, The Fornix. The "Documentaries, Narration" folder also includes scripts for the History Channel documentaries "Piercing the Reich: The Deadly Deceivers" and "Nuremberg: Tyranny on Trial".

This subseries contains the records from the Seneca Women's Peace Encampment in Romulus, New York. This includes political literature, correspondence, financial records, mailings, ephemera, meeting minutes, and grant proposals. The series also includes registration forms for the entire encampment for 1983. Also present is information on nuclear energy and radiation collected by Michelle Crone in respect to the goals of the encampment.

This subseries includes a database listing of self help organizations, dual diagnosis documents regarding a training course for dealing with people who have co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and housing and independent living material. This includes an agreement between MHANYS and a participant in the SHC, Housing Opportunities Made Easier (H.O.M.E.) regarding local provision of service and proposal by Associated Independent living centers of NY (AILCNY) to New York OMH to establish a self help clearinghouse. In addition, there is correspondence about an education conference regarding Lifelong Learning for Adults with Disabilities, correspondence related to the Growing Wiser Program of mental health for elder citizens, evaluation sheets for monitoring the effectiveness of the SHC program, local SHC records, correspondence related to legal services in connection with SHC, correspondence regarding grants from MHANYS to local SHC groups for purchase of library materials, information regarding use of the Internet by SHC program, correspondence and other documents regarding Schizophrenics Anonymous training program for SHC participants, information regarding teleconference on self help issues, guide to selection of self help methods developed by MHANYS and MHA- Ulster County library lists, studies, surveys and evaluations, documents related to work of student interns for SHC, external studies on the self help process, and use of internet for self help.

Primarily correspondence from UUP's President relating to various subjects and issues of concern to UUP members, and with SUNY management and SUNY's Chancellor. Included much less frequently are articles, third-party reports and publications, brochures, court and arbitrator decisions, financial statements, and other materials supplementing the topics being addressed in the correspondence. This subseries includes a substantial amount of information regarding the challenge to UUP's position as collective bargaining agent on the SUNY campuses by the NEA/NYEA in the mid-1970s, as well as on the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) which was also an active challenger to UUP during the NEA/NYEA challenge period. In addition, this subseries contains correspondence relating to the first few years that the agency fee law was in place.
