This series contains typescripts as well as some handwritten notes to lectures delivered by Herz at universities in the U.S. and Germany, as well as at conferences and seminars. In addition to Herz's lectures, this series also contains additional conference materials and papers delivered by others. Herz's teaching materials, including syllabi, reading lists, examination questions and lecture notes are also found in this series.

This series contains clippings, notes, brochures and other materials on a variety of subject areas. One series of files contains newspaper clippings on the family estate in Bonn/ Plittersdorf (1964-1984), which chronicle the property and surrounding area in local newspapers from its ownership by Leser family to the eventual conversion into a recreational park (Leserpark). Other files contain conference materials, materials on the plow, including photographs and early publications. Also contained in this series are a collection of postwar U.S. and occupation newspapers, primarily circulated to U. S. citizens working in postwar Germany.
Photographs by Werner Cohnitz, Eliot Eliosofon, Walter Laeubli, Gjon Mili, Arnold Newman, Edward Steichen, and other unidentified photographers. Most of these pictures were taken in Europe shortly after World War II and include outdoor scenes, and posed images of models.
